Meet Derrick Schwartz

With decades of hands-on construction experience, Derrick founded Backyard Living Solutions with a singular vision: to make beautiful, high-quality modular living accessible to every family.

As a licensed contractor specializing in modular ADUs, Derrick and his team handle every aspect of the process — from initial property evaluation and permitting to final construction and finishing. Based in Teaneck, NJ, Backyard Living Solutions is at the forefront of the ADU movement, helping families transform their properties into multi-functional living spaces.

Every project is treated as if it were his own home. Quality is never compromised, timelines are respected, and the client's vision always comes first.
